연구실 소개 

양자정보이론 연구실은 양자역학을 기반으로 양자를 정보의 주체로써 다루는 이론연구를 하고 있다. 특히 정보이론의 큰 줄기인 양자 암호와 관련된 연구를 주로 다루고 있으며, 기존의(고전) 암호학과 비교하여 양자의 장점을 부각하고자 하고 있다. 현재 양자 얽힘을 이용한 QKD(quantum key distribution, 양자키분배) 프로토콜, 양자 정보 이론, 양자 인증, 양자 서명 등을 중점적으로 연구 중이며, 이와 관련된 분야에 수준 높은 논문을 발표하고 있다.
