Ordinance of the Ministry of Education, Issue 1 Rules Regarding College Tuition

Definition

Students past the years required for graduation (semester completion) that are enrolling for additional semesters to receive credits needed for graduation
Academic management regulations Article 36 (Years required for graduation) : 4 years (8 semesters), Engineering Architecture: 5 years (10 semesters), Medicine: 6 years (12 semesters)

Tuition payment method

  1. 1Print out the tuition bill during the printout period. Go to Print Bill
  2. 2Remit the total tuition amount including other payments in the exact amount to the virtual account number at Hana Bank (make sure the recipient is under student’s name) stated on the bill at any bank windows in the nation, ATM, internet banking, or phone banking. (Deposit, wire transfer)
Hana Bank account holders can make the payment in one of the following methods as well
A. Hana Bank homepage -> Personal internet banking login -> Utility bill -> Tuition -> Choose school -> Enter class number
B. Hana Bank ATM, access phone banking -> Utility bill -> Tuition -> Choose school -> Enter class number
* Remitter doesn’t have to be the student

Tuition Reduction

  1. 1Eligibility
    • Students registering for 9 or more semesters within 9 credits
      • 11 or more semesters for Engineering Architecture students
      • 3 or more semesters after starting double major for double-major students
      • 5 semesters or more for transfer students
    • GeneralㆍSpecialized Graduate School students registering for 5 or more semesters within 3 credits
      • 9 or more semesters for dual masters & PhD program students
      • Graduate research students excluded
    • Specialized Graduate School students registering for 6 (7th semester for seasonal semester) or more semesters within 3 credits
  2. 2Application period

    Early February ~ Early March (Semester 1), Early August ~ Early September (Semester 2)

  3. 3Log into the portal using applicant’s ID/ apply for tuition reduction

    (*Tuition reduction menu is only visible to eligible students described above)

  4. 4Apply for the type of credit reduction that corresponds to the registration credit

※ For further details regarding Undergrad(Graduate school) exceeding school semesters tuition reduction application and registration, see the notice broad.

Payment Amount

  1. 1Bachelor’s degree and below
    • A. 1/6 of the semester’s tuition for 1-3 credits
    • B. 1/3 of the semester’s tuition for 4-6 credits
    • C. 1/2 of the semester’s tuition for 7-9 credits
    • D. Entire tuition of the semester for 10 or more credits
  2. 2Master’s degree or above
    • A. 1/2 of the semester’s tuition for 1-3 credits
    • B. Entire tuition of the semester for 4 or more credits

Remark

Not registering or taking a leave of absence during registration period may be processed as dismissal due to failure to register or failure to return from leave of absence
※ Refer to Education·Undergraduate – Undergraduate Administration – School Register – Dismissal for Dismissal due to failure to register or return from leave of absence When registration credit and type of credit reduction don’t correspond, reduction will not be processed on the bill.

Go to Expulsion

If the course registration credit and the credit reduction type does not match, then the bill is not reduced
