Korea University Academic Regulations Article 12 (Credit Transfer of General Transfer Students), Article 51 (Credit Withdrawal), Article 74 (Retaken Courses), Addendum Article 7 (14.03.01)(Interim Measure for Changes in Retaken Courses)

Definition

Retaking courses with grades of C+ or below and deleting the lower grade

Possible Applicants

  • Subjects grade C+ (Rating: 2.50) or less
  • Recognized credits by the general credit transfer is not applicable for re-registration
  • Not available for abandon courses

Re-Registration Grading

  • Re-registration courses may not exceed grade rating of A (Rating: 4.00), and if you retake a Re-Registration course, the grade cannot exceed the re-grading of B + (Rating: 3.50) . The higher grade between the first and second time of the course will be reflected on you GPA, and all course with scores too low for the GPA will be mark as 'R' (Retake).
  • The higher of the first and second grades is reflected in the student’s GPA, but both will be shown on the academic transcript.
  • Courses receiving a lower grade and therefore not reflected in the GPA are marked with an R (Retake). Re-registration of courses opened on Sejong Campus after Semester 1 of 2016 is allowed once. (However, F grade doesn’t count towards re-registration restriction.)

Provisional Measures

The following regulation on grading shall apply to courses taken for the first time from the 2014 Semester 1: In cases where courses are retaken for the second time, the grade for the course cannot exceed B+, and the lower grade is marked with an R.
