Introduction

To meet the needs of the times in terms of the transition into a convergent, software-centric society, the Department of Computer Convergence Software aims to develop convergence software talent with creativity and competitiveness who can contribute to the advancement of the software-based future convergence industry area.

This department strives for development of creative and global convergence software talent who have the ability to understand computer software fields such as databases, big data, cloud computing, web-smart applications, algorithms, and software platforms, and information science fields such as networks, mobile communication, information communication protocol, and information protection, with the ability to research and develop related technologies.

As this field is a major part of the ICT industry that is not only an engine for our country's future growth but also the subject of increasing global interest, it is expected to have a substantial impact on securing key national technology in the future and development of related human resources.

First, development of professional talent who excel in both theory and experience in the field of computer convergence software.
Second, development of creative talent who can create and utilize new knowledge in the field of computer convergence software.
Third, development of practical talent who have the ability to scientifically solve problems in the field of computer convergence software.
Fourth, development of adventurous talent with global leadership in the field of computer convergence software.

Required Student Skills and Qualities

1. Creative technology capability
Talented individuals who have an interest in computer-based technology, especially software development, exhibit capability in related subjects, and have creative ability for the future software-centric society.

2. Global practice capability
Talented individuals who specialize in the field of ICT, have ability as a leader who actively takes on challenges, a world-leading vision with professional responsibility, and an ethical sense of responsibility

3. Practical convergence capability
Talented individuals who have practical convergence capability to creatively apply computer technology to solve various problems of industry, and build a cooperation network with professional groups and various businesses.

Education Objective

While Computer information science has a wide scope of application and high practicality, new knowledge and technologies are introduced continuously. Therefore, this department focuses on teaching the basic theories and fundamentals to learn new application technology by students themselves, along with the individual core knowledge, extensively and more in depth. It fosters proactive and creative human resources in big data and IoT by teaching basic theories and new application technologies in computer hardware and software areas.
