Vice-president of Korea University Sejong Campus, Kim Young, announced that Younglim Forestry has donated 50 million won for the development of the school. At the donation ceremony, Hwang Bok Hyun, the CEO and president of Younglim Forestry, President Jeong Jin Taek, Vice-president Kim Young, manager of the Sejong Job Center, Kim Myeong Gi, and many other guests participated.

CEO Hwang graduated from Sungkyunkwan University’s Department of Business Administration, and after taking Seoul University’s business management course for executives, took on the role of CEO, a role in which he has continuously donated to the Korea University Sejong Campus Development Fund. This donation was his third following donations of 50 million won in October of 2018 and 20 million won in February of 2019. The donation is planned to be used for the Sejong Campus Human Resource Development Center Environment Improvement Fund.

Korea University Sejong Campus had a signing board ceremony on the same day in room 314 of the Culture and Sports Building to honor the donor, naming it ‘Younglim Forestry Classroom.’ Afterwards, the donation ceremony was held on the second floor of the Administration Building where a plaque of gratitude was given in hopes of maintaining future industry-academia links.

Younglim Forestry is a medium-sized professional interior company with 261 employees and an annual profit of 128.7 billion won. Since the second half of 2015, they have connected with Korea University’s Sejong Job Center to employ Korea University Sejong Campus students.
