<Korea University Sejong Campus Hosts 'Quantum Dot-OLED Display Technology Development Team' Conference>

On October 2, a conference for the 'Quantum Dot-OLED Display Technology Development Center' was held at Korea University Sejong Campus’s Lighting Prototyping Center. On this day, Kang Sangwook and Kim Jaeill, professors of Advanced Materials Chemistry, Shin Seongtae, professor of Display Convergence, Lim Seongtae, director of OD-Tech, and Jang Sehyeon, director of Youlchon Chemistry, participated.

To start off the event on this day, Choi Bongmin, the representative of OD-tech, had his congratulatory message read by Lim Seongtae. He mentioned that, "While the development of futuristic display is ongoing, we believe that this is the perfect time to start this project's team. We hope that today's conference is what leads us to work harder as a whole. Afterward, Shin Dongyun, the vice-president of Youlchon Chemistry, had his congratulatory message read by Jang Sehyeon. He mentioned that, "Congratulations on starting this project's team. We will do our best to stay connected with Korea University in this ever-changing era of the display business.”

Afterwards, Professor Shin, on the team's creation, stated, "I think this is a great opportunity to acquire the necessary technology to produce OLED. This day will be the first step for our school to be the main pillar of the display business as our school aims to be practical. Also, as he is the captain of the team, he explained the background and current state of Quantum Dot-OLED. He said, "There is a necessity of fusing and developing different technology dynamically. The team will be able to resolve many problems like the limited field of view and adding more variety to the current color combinations. This event ended with an introduction of the current members of the team.

In other news, this team was based on the former OLED Research Team from Display and Semiconductor Physics and Advanced Materials Chemistry and was created to develop 'Quantum Dot-OLED.’
