On December 5, Riwha Networks Co., Ltd, a resident company of the Korea University Sejong Campus Business Incubator, has been selected for the 2025 Outstanding TTA Standard at the 108th Telecommunications Standards General Assembly of the Telecommunications Technology Association (TTA) for its Distributed Vehicle Platform-Based Pedestrian Safety Service Communication Protocol (TTAK.KO-06.0594).
This standard is a technology that defines the communication structure among vehicle terminals, pedestrian terminals, and pedestrian safety service servers, serving as the core specification for distributed vehicle platform-based pedestrian safety services. The standard was established in December 2023 and has been recognized for significantly contributing to improving the completeness of South Korea's connected transportation safety technology system.
Riwha Networks launched the pedestrian safety system "GreenSign" in November 2024 using technology based on this standard. GreenSign is a bidirectional hazard detection system that provides high-speed approaching vehicle warnings to pedestrians and pedestrian approach warnings to drivers. It is an intelligent connected safety solution that learns pedestrian walking patterns and supports elderly recognition and customized warning functions.

GreenSign was designated as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service in December 2024. In August of the same year, the company signed an agreement with Korea Water Resources Corporation (K-water) and is currently conducting innovative technology demonstration and operation projects in Busan Eco Delta Smart City. This represents a significant achievement in which technology developed by a business incubator resident company has been applied to actual urban and road environments beyond the demonstration stage.
An official from the Korea University Sejong Campus Business Incubator stated, "The selection of this outstanding standard is a result not only of technological excellence but also of the innovative ecosystem built together by the university, region, and companies. We will continue to expand support so that promising technology companies can contribute to the development of local communities and national industries through their growth."
