SIBT Digital Healthcare Center Operates Booth at KIMES 2025 and Promotes Research and Business Exchange
From September 26 to 28, the Digital Healthcare Center of the SIBT (Strategic Industry & Business Institute) at Korea University Sejong Campus operated a booth at the Korea International Medical & Hospital Equipment Show (KIMES 2025), held at BEXCO in Busan.
Participation in the exhibition aimed to identify the latest technological trends in the medical device and digital healthcare sectors and to strengthen the foundation for industry–academia–research collaboration.
Participants explored a wide range of advanced technologies, including AI-based diagnostic imaging support systems, remote monitoring and home healthcare platforms, wearable healthcare devices, and integrated smart hospital management solutions.
Students from the Department of Digital Healthcare also took part, gaining firsthand exposure to industrial sites and deepening their understanding of how research is practically applied in real-world settings.

At the exhibition, the Digital Healthcare Center operated its own promotional booth to showcase the research capabilities of Korea University Sejong Campus and its achievements in research and business collaboration. Exhibits included faculty research outcomes and technology development cases, along with key products from partner companies such as Cellytics by MetaImmuneTech, Mindwave Basic by B-Wave, a companion animal diagnostic kit by PetkyChecky, and NeNoon Kiosk by PixelRo. Students actively participated in booth operations, introducing research content to visitors and engaging with domestic and international attendees, thereby gaining practical, on-site experience.
Faculty members and researchers also guided students to make effective use of learning and networking opportunities available at the international exhibition, while engaging with industry representatives to discuss potential future collaboration, including joint research and technology commercialization.
Through these activities, the Digital Healthcare Center confirmed the potential for generating tangible outcomes at the industrialization stage by establishing an research and business collaboration model that closely integrates education and research.
Attendance at KIMES 2025 provided students with valuable opportunities for industry oriented learning and career exploration, while offering faculty members a platform to expand networks for industry collaboration and technology commercialization.
The SIBT Digital Healthcare Center at Korea University Sejong Campus plans to continue strengthening field-oriented education programs and industry linked initiatives, steadily expanding the foundation for research and business collaboration to cultivate core talent and drive technological innovation in the digital healthcare field.
