On November 28, the Office of International Affairs held the 1st KUS Night of Korea University Alumni at the Choi Jonghyun Hall of the SK Future Hall at Korea University.

 

Approximately 150 participants attended the event, including around 20 university and alumni association representatives, such as Korea University President Kim Dongwon, Sejong Campus Vice President Yang Jiwoon, and Senior Vice President of the Alumni Association Han Yoonsang, as well as about 130 alumni.

 

 

The theme of the event was ‘The First Step of Korea University Sejong Campus Toward a Shining Journey,’ designed to align with the symbolism of the inaugural event representing a ‘first beginning.’

 

The program began with an opening declaration, followed by a commemorative video for the 1st KUS Night of Korea University Alumni, introductions of attendees, a welcoming address by President Kim Dongwon, and congratulatory remarks from the Alumni Association. In particular, the presentation of ‘Sejong Campus Vision 2030’ shared the campus’s future strategies and directions for development.

 

The celebratory program that followed featured performances by three vocal music students from the Korea National University of Arts and a performance by ‘Rooters’, the cheering squad of Korea University Sejong Campus.

 

During the dinner, a prize drawing was held, offering various gifts such as Korea University’s 120th anniversary commemorative wine and a Dyson Airwrap.

 

Through this event, expectations are high that it will not only promote active exchange among alumni, but also strengthen bonds with the alma mater and have a positive effect on laying the groundwork for attracting future development funds.
