Strengthening practical IR capabilities of technology startup teams in the Sejong region

 

On December 9, The Sejong RISE Project Group of Korea University Sejong Campus successfully concluded the ‘2025 Sejong RISE Startup Support Program – Investment Attraction Support,’ completing the entire process including IR consulting and a demo day. This program was designed to enhance the investment readiness of early-stage technology startup teams, and a total of five companies participated, presenting their business strategies based on completed IR decks.

 

At the demo day, five companies, CareNine, Riwha Networks, Apayu, 912 Communication, and TechBridge, participated and shared their technologies and business directions. The presentation areas were diverse, including senior care, connected safety solutions, hospital and clinic operation management systems, AI security solutions, and electrical and electronic–based system development. Based on expert evaluations, the Grand Prize was awarded to CareNine; the Excellence Award to Riwha Networks and Apayu; and the Merit Award to 912 Communication and TechBridge.

 

This program consisted of practice-oriented training, including IR strategy development, support for IR deck creation, business model advancement mentoring, speech coaching, and mock pitching. 

 

Participating companies organized their core messages, completed their presentation materials in a professional format, and gained experience like real investment settings through presentation training.

 

At the final demo day, each company presented its key points followed by a question-and-answer session, during which investment reviewers evaluated the companies with a focus on growth potential, marketability, and business structure.

 

After the event, some companies proceeded with follow-up discussions with investors, confirming the possibility of practical connections.

 

An official from the Sejong RISE Project Group stated, “The goal was to strengthen the practical capabilities that regional startup companies need to advance to the investment attraction stage. We will continue to provide various support programs so that technology startup teams can secure opportunities for growth.”
