This is to inform you of the course withdrawal application procedure for the 2nd semester of 2025. Please refer to the attached manual and FAQ for further details.

A. Application Schedule

1)         Application Period: September 22, 2025 (Mon) 10:00 ~ September 24, 2025 (Wed) 09:00 (4th week of the semester)

2)         3rd Course Cancellation Date: September 24, 2025 (Wed) 17:00

* Courses with zero enrollment due to student withdrawals will be canceled in the third round

B. Maximum Withdrawal Credits: Up to 9 credits per semester can be withdrawn.

C. Application Procedure

1)         Apply Menu: KUPID → Portal (Registration/Graduation) → Grade Inquiries → Course Withdrawal → Apply for Withdrawal

2)         Applications are completed once students submit and confirm their request (no separate approval needed)

3)         During the application period, students may ‘cancel’ their withdrawal request for a specific course

4)         After the application period ends, withdrawal requests will be finalized based on the last submitted record

D. Important Notes

1)         Credit Carryover

-       Withdrawn credits cannot be carried over to the next semester.

2)         No Tuition Adjustment:

-       Changes in credits due to withdrawal will not affect tuition fees, including for students exceeding the standard number of semesters.

3)         Restricted Courses

a)  Mandatory first-year courses automatically assigned by the university

b) Laboratory/Practical courses or flexible-semester courses

c)  Team project courses or other courses where cancellation is restricted due to academic or administrative purposes.

4)         Disadvantages from Insufficient Credits

-       If course withdrawal results in not meeting the required number of credits, it may affect:
① Graduation requirements, ② Eligibility for academic honors (Dean’s List, Graduation Honors, etc.), ③ Eligibility for extra course registration in the following semester. Please check related requirements in advance.

5)         Scholarship Eligibility:

-         Failure to meet minimum credit requirements due to course withdrawal may disqualify students from scholarships (e.g., National Scholarship). Students are strongly advised to check individual scholarship requirements in advance.

6)         Flexible Credit System

-         Under the flexible credit system, up to 3 credits per academic year may be carried over or borrowed in advance. However, eligibility is based on the initial course load at the end of the course add/drop period, and reductions from course withdrawal will not be reflected.
