Notice on the 4th Graduation Qualification English Test for the 2025 Academic Year

 

The Sejong Institute for General Education announces the 4th Graduation Qualification English Test for the 2025 Academic Year as follows. Students wishing to take the test are advised to review the information below and complete the application within the designated period.

This test may be used as a substitute for the official English proficiency requirement for graduation. The test format is identical to the regular TOEIC test and is administered as a TOEIC Special Test.

 

1. Test Date & Time: January 3, 2025 (Saturday), 09:30–12:00
※ Entry must be completed by 09:50/Entry and test-taking will NOT be permitted after 09:51.

 

2. Test Venue: Nongshim Hall, Korea University Sejong Campus
※ Test room assignments will be posted in the lobby on the test day.

 

3. Eligibility: Undergraduate students at Korea University (Seoul & Sejong Campuses)
(including students who have completed coursework or are on a leave of absence)

※ Seoul Campus students may take the test, but must confirm with their department whether the score is accepted for graduation requirements.

※ Graduate students may take the test; however, the score cannot be used for graduate program graduation requirements.

 

4. Test Type: TOEIC Special Test (official ETS format)

(This test is only valid for graduation qualification purposes and cannot be used as an official TOEIC score)

 

5. Application Information

- Application Period: December 15, 2025 (Mon) – December 29, 2025 (Mon)

- Visit the Sejong Institute for General Education website (https://genedu.korea.ac.kr)

- Click ‘Graduation Qualification English Test’

- Apply through the registration site ( https://b2b.toeic.co.kr/koreasj)

- Pay the test fee (20,000 won) online at the time of application

- A confirmation message will be sent by 5:00 PM on the day before the test

- Cancellation must be made through the registration site within the application period only
(No cancellations or refunds after the deadline)

 

6. Items to Bring

- Writing tools (pencil or mechanical pencil, eraser)

- Valid ID (Resident ID card, driver’s license, or valid passport)
※ Student ID cards are NOT accepted/ Entry will be denied without a valid ID

 

7. Score Release

- Scores will be available from January 12, 2026 (Monday) at 3:00 PM

- Check results at ( https://ipscore.toeic.co.kr/index.asp)
