Also, while international competition in digital TV areas becomes more intensive, the group plays a leading role to develop much more comfortable and precise display and semi-conductor.

Their goal is to develop advanced workforce specializing in convergence software. Also, it focuses on development of creative workforce equipped with in-depth and professional knowledge by developing and practicing international standard curricula for substantial graduate school education.

'Project Group for ICT Convergence Technology for Health and Safety Diagnosis' works on ICT convergence technologies as the basis for critical industry aimed at creative economy. ICT convergence technologies cope with the future mega-trends of aging and individuation and lead to environmentally cleaner and safer social development. The purpose of this project group is to characterize the technology to realize a healthy society that is safe from disease, crime, environmental pollution and disaster and establish glocal education and research system at the global level.

It studies the technologies to increase conveniences through smart controlled protection of passenger, pedestrian and cyclist and vital sign Instrumentation as well as risk communication technologies. Based on the research, the group focuses on research of smart automobile component aimed at high-level convenience and safety for humans.

Contagious Disease Response Team
'Contagious Disease Response Team' aims to develop professionals of convergence and complex technologies in the area of new and mutant contagious diseases such as avian influenza by securing biotechnological techniques and works to contribute to national health and social safety. The team consists of four core convergence and complex divisions of biological structure informatics, pathological microbiology and immunology, nano-based biotechnology and biosensor system engineering. Also, it will provides graduate education programs to develop creative personnel to fight contagious diseases to establish a research project team with a focus on advanced human resources development with academic knowledge and adaptability.
