Korea University Sejong Campus College of Global Business has accomplished the honor of achieving three consecutive years of being nominated as the Sports Industry Business Practice Custom-Made Professional Manpower Training Institution.
The program resolves enterprises’ difficulties and, in the process, cultivates business practice professional manpower in ways that leads to official employment of students. This government supported program is led by Han Nam Hee, professor of Sport Business in the Division of Global Sport Studies and is conducted through the collaboration of many students and corporations regarding big data, sports, and marketing subjects.
Corporations participating in the collaboration are FC Network, S Dream Square, Insight Korea Research, Ssaka Sports, the Korea Sports Agents Association, Bravo & New, Nassau, Sports2i, and Bepro. The program will take place from May 1 to September 30, with five months of weekly visits to corporations to learn the details of professional administrative work.
This year, the program includes research and professional education courses regarding the subject, ‘Reinforcement of New Marketing Competence of Big Data-based Sport Corporations,’ as well as visits to the companies. When selected as a student researcher for this project, selectees will be offered professional education courses on sport business practice and will receive a scholarship and the chance to work at a corporation and possible future employment. The program yields great expectations for the students of the Global Sports Department to actively develop their abilities and grow as professionals that can fulfill the needs of various customers.
