On November 15th, the 5th electronics and machinery fusion engineering department was held at Nong Shim Hall. Marking its fifth anniversary this year, the seminar was co-hosted by the Department of Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineering and the BK21+ Smart Auto Business Team. The scholarship is designed to help undergraduate students to implement free ideas, and to provide research support and opportunities for academic activities. Starting with the opening address of Chung Jae Hwa, the dean of the Department of Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineering. It was followed by an introduction of the Japan KIT exchange program, a research presentation by undergraduates, a posters exhibition by graduate students and an award ceremony.

"I am very pleased that more students are actively participating in the academic curriculum than usual," said Jae Jae Hwa, the dean of the department at the opening speech. "I hope that through this academic program, undergraduate students will have the opportunity to actualize their creative thinking and raise their problem-solving abilities." A total of eleven teams, consisting of current students, took part in the presentation and were divided into one and two parts. The students showed their creative themes such as 'Damping Energy Harvesting Device Using AC motor', '4 Feet walking Robot', 'An animatronic robot arm using multiple sensors'. Then, the seminar ended after the closure of the department dean and the awards ceremony.

"It was very helpful to know how technologies such as computer coding were actually used," said Jeon Hyun Tae, a class of 2018 student major in the Department of Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineering.
